Pricing & plans
Binnit charges per bin, starting at $6/month for a small bin up to $12/month for a large one. With our 5-bin minimum, plans start at $30/month. You fill a bin, you pay for that bin — and when you close out a bin, the unused portion of the month is pro-rated and refunded.
Yes — a 5-bin minimum order and a 90-day minimum term. After the first 90 days you can cancel any time. If you cancel mid-month, we refund the unused portion of that month. No lock-in, no penalty.
Logistics are charged per service leg by how fast you want it. The simple rule on the standard window (4+ hours or next day): when we come to you it's free, when we take bins from you it's $10 + $2/bin. So dropping off empty bins and retrieving your bins back to you are free, while picking up bins from you — filled bins for storage or empty bins at close-out — is $10 + $2/bin. Faster windows (four-hour, two-hour, one-hour) add a flat base fee ($10 / $20 / $40) plus $2/bin to each leg. All windows run 7 days a week, 8am–8pm.
No — Binnit's pricing is flat, transparent, and the same for everyone. No introductory rates, promo codes, or hidden fees. What you see is what you pay.
Traditional self-storage charges for a fixed space whether you fill it or not — most people use only about a third of their unit, so a $200/month locker that's a third full is really costing $600 per used volume. Binnit charges per bin, so you only pay for what you actually store, and unused months are pro-rated back. Plus there are no introductory-rate games.
How it works
1) Sign up on binnit.com. 2) We drop off empty bins free at your door on the standard window (5-bin minimum). 3) Pack at your own pace. 4) Schedule a pickup — the standard next-day window has no rush fee (the pickup leg is still $10 + $2/bin), and faster windows are available for more. 5) We store your bins securely at our facility. 6) Request any bin back anytime through your account.
A good guide is 5–10 bins per bedroom. As a rough range: studio / 1-bedroom 5–15 bins, 2-bedroom 10–20, 3-bedroom 15–30, and a small business / office usually starts around 10. Starting with a few extra is smart — unused bins can always be returned. The minimum order is 5 bins.
Standard retrieval — your bins back on a next-day or 4+ hour window — is always free. If you need them faster, four-hour, two-hour, and one-hour windows are available for a flat fee. Your belongings are never held hostage.
All services run 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.
Bins & what fits
There are four sizes (inside dimensions, length × width × height): Small — 19.9 × 14.2 × 8.4 in — $6/month Medium-Tall — 19.8 × 13.8 × 15.8 in — $8/month Medium-Wide — 25.2 × 15.5 × 11.0 in — $8/month Large — 26.0 × 19.0 × 14.0 in — $12/month
Each bin has a maximum weight of 50 lbs (about 23 kg). If a bin is over the limit at collection, the driver will leave it to be repacked, so spread heavy items across multiple bins.
Everything stored with Binnit goes inside a bin, and the largest bin is 26.0 × 19.0 × 14.0 inches. Anything that doesn't fit — sofas, bed frames, mattresses, large furniture — can't be stored. Smaller items, or items you can dismantle to fit in a bin, are fine.
Security & trust
Yes. Our facility is climate controlled and monitored 24 hours a day, with cameras inside and covering 75 feet outside in every direction, the latest fire suppression systems, and emergency backup generators that keep security, fire safety, and climate control running through any power outage.
No. Every bin is sealed with a unique, serialized tamper-evident seal the moment we collect it, and a photo of the sealed bin showing the seal number is uploaded to your app. You're the only person who can break that seal — if a bin were ever opened, it would be immediately visible.
Every bin is tracked by license plate from the moment you hand it over until it's returned. When it reaches our warehouse it's logged to an exact rack position, which you can see in the Binnit app at any time — built on the same kind of infrastructure large-scale logistics operations use.
The facility is climate controlled to roughly 68–80°F (20–27°C). If that range works for wine or other temperature-sensitive items, we'd be glad to store them — you can judge whether it suits your collection.
Binnit does not currently offer insurance on stored items.
